We also have Map switching available for this car for you to be able to select between 4 different maps on the stock ecu. This is part of our motorsport tuning suite and also includes rolling launch control as well as an engine safety algorithm in case you are ever in the incorrect map for the fuel for you to be put into the correct map automatically.
The Map Switching feature allows you to define four different calibrations in the engine control unit. The driver can switch between calibrations at the press of a button. This enables Infinit Performance to provide a comfortable calibration for everyday road use and a hard-core maximum performance calibration for the track. Alternatively, our customers can use this feature to provide four calibrations optimised for different fuel grades. This allows a driver to optimise their engine performance according to the type of fuel they use. It also allows them to switch between different performance calibrations depending on driving conditions. This enables them to get the maximum performance out of their vehicle in any situation, whilst providing protection against unethical fuel.
If the car detects any issues within the combustion cycle (coil packs, spark plugs, bad fuel, injectors failing) it will automatically revert you to a safe map to prevent any engine damage. The car's onboard computers will monitor the combustion cycle, measuring things like fuel pressure, ignition timing, and other parameters. When any of these parameters deviate from the programmed values, the car's computer will switch to a safe map to prevent engine damage.
We offer more safety features that actually work and protect the engine when something goes wrong and this is more valuable than being the fastest. These engines are not that strong and when hit with a bad batch of fuel they will fail. This is why we commissioned the safety algorithm. Safeties can be fully custom calibrated to suit one's mods, build, or needs.
Our custom code for engine safeties is written entirely in-house and we have seamlessly merged it with the OEM ECU to offer an added layer of security when you choose our engine calibration. Engine safeties provide you with peace of mind that if you do get a bad tank of fuel, or that vacuum line does pop off your wastegate, your ECU will instantly catch an issue and shut the throttle to prevent damage. These engine safeties are now built into every Infinit Performance calibration we do and are only available through us.
