RACE TECHNICIAN

- Position-Overview -

Infinit Performance is seeking a highly skilled Race Technician/Engine Builder to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. This role is designed for individuals passionate about high-performance engines and race car preparation, focusing on precision assembly, custom builds, and testing of high-end vehicles, including McLaren, Audi, and other performance brands. The successful candidate will work closely with our tuning and fabrication teams to deliver engines capable of extraordinary power and reliability. - Key Responsibilities -
• Build and rebuild high-performance race engines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimal performance. 

• Disassemble, inspect, and assess engine components, providing detailed reports on wear and required repairs. 

• Perform full engine teardowns and assembly for high-end, bespoke builds. 

• Collaborate with the tuning team to test engines on dynos, ensuring peak performance levels 
are achieved. 

• Fit and test aftermarket performance parts such as connecting rods, camshafts, and pistons. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues found during testing or operation, ensuring engines meet 
race-spec requirements. 

• Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in prime 
condition. 

• Implement rigorous quality control measures, ensuring all builds meet Infinit Performance’s 
high standards. 

• Liaise with the fabrication and tuning teams to design and develop custom solutions for 
performance improvement. 


- Essential Skills & Experience -

• Proven experience in engine building, specifically with race or high-performance engines (minimum 3 years preferred). 

• Expertise in working with forced induction systems and performance upgrades. 

• Familiarity with high-performance automotive brands such as McLaren, Audi, or similar. 

• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 
specifications. 

• Attention to detail and precision in engine assembly and testing. 

• Competency in using advanced diagnostic equipment and tuning software. 

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

• A full UK driving license and access to personal tools are required.
